elliott smith by autumn de wilde

last night, i went to a gallery exhibit for the noisepop fest that happens here in SF. autumn de wilde was presenting her collection of elliott smith pixx in the mission. it was a cool exhibit, i bought the book, and scampered out of there.

poking around on the web, finding more stuff by autumn that i really really like. she has a bunch of images that you'll recognize, too. i like this pic, cuz it reminds me of a ryan adams song that i love. cool pic

built to spill, fillmore

i saw built to spill earlier in the week, at the fillmore (in SF). it was a really good show! i remember listening to them ten years earlier, then just kinda stopped, and never bothered to listen again. but the show was really really great, and what made it better was a new friend was traveling from honduras, and she and I had a blast.

its not like i believe in...

...everlasting love. i DO believe in my newest favorite artist: Laura Marling, from album Alas I Cannot Swim. i am sure she is so tired of this being pointed out, but i can't help it: SHE IS ONLY SEVENTEEN!!! i loved her music before knowing this, and love it more BECAUSE of it.

surrender to the flow

oh gosh. it's been far too long since i've posted here...blah blah blah...

briefly, a super quick plug for a website that someone just dropped into my orbit from facebook, which i only recently joined, like less than one week ago.

alas, a dear old phriend messaged me with this website:

i messaged him back and said something stupid to the effect of, "oh. i don't listen to phish much anymore..."

that site is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i highly highly recommend it.

my first choice was 12.29.03

those 4 shows in miami were pretty incred. for whatever reason, i have not done the due diligence to get that 12.29.03 show on disc. or, i had it and lost it or some other way of just blowing off "owning" it. so its cool for me to find this site, and just plug right into what show i wanna hear. rad.

so yeah, i surrendered to the flow and went to the www.phishows.com and will now probably be on a phish rampage, digging deep in the Fall '94, etc...
