maybe so maybe not

now, after i post about how debilitated, i mean liberated i was without my computer for a night, i start reading about the "cool kids" over at tumblr.com.

those kids over there are MEGA MEGA MEGA attached to their computers. outrageous.

that site makes me feel so out of date. those kids over there are being really witty and cute and fun, it seems.

i feel like i am over here at this dinosaur site...it was comforting to see that some of the tumblrs still have a regular blog...

but honest, between flickr and vimeo and xm and tumblr and holy fuck, what else? i'm sure i'm forgetting something...

well, i really do like that layout.

is it stupid to fight with my computer? these kids have made it seem fun to be single solo computing all the time. i mean, i always like it, too, but i'm not as creative as i could be.

but is it better to live on the OUTSIDE of the computer, talking and hanging out in real time with people, or creating our cyber personalities so acutely that we are safe in the confines of letting the screen filter out the actual vibrations of humans.

i'm super curious about all this. is it a cop-out or just evolution of life, to be more into developing your cyber sitch than the real life sitch. i dunno. super curious though. i must be on the fence somehow, choosing to process this here instead of talking on the phone or meeting a friend for breakfast.
